Rachel is continuing to back local businesses following a visit to a world-leading vehicle lighting manufacturer.
Earlier this month, Rachel visited Bee Lighting, a global design, engineering and manufacturer in the vehicle lighting sector.
During her visit, Rachel met with Operations Director, Colin Fulford, to discuss his ambitious plans for the future of the business which includes boosting his highly skilled workforce.
Bee Lighting is home to state-of-the-art facilities and has manufactured lighting parts for the world famous Ford GT.
Rachel said: “Redditch is home to world-leading businesses, and Bee Lighting is one of those businesses powering our economy and providing highly skilled jobs.
“I'm impressed with the innovative approach Colin and his team have taken. They have to their great credit overcome many challenges and obstacles.
“As a former entrepreneur who set-up a business from scratch, I’ve made it one of my missions since I was first elected to back local businesses and to do everything I can to support them.
“They play a vital role creating wealth which in turn funds the public services we all rely on. I know first-hand how challenging that process can be, which is why I've always backed the wealth creators, rather than trying to punish them with excessive regulation and tax.”
Colin Fulford, Bee Lighting’s Operations Director, said: "It was a pleasure to host Rachel Maclean and showcase our cutting-edge facilities and dedicated team. Her recognition and support for local businesses like ours are greatly appreciated. We are thankful for her encouragement as we continue to expand and innovate in the vehicle lighting industry."
