Rachel is continuing her work to fight for first-class health and social care services by meeting with local patient champions.
The MP for Redditch and the Villages met with the Managing Director of Healthwatch Worcestershire, Simon Adams.
They discussed the new management team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and concerns being raised by patients about the care they are receiving.
Their meeting follows the publication of Rachel’s Long-Term Plan for the Delivery of Health and Social Care. It seeks to build on the progress made since Rachel was first elected and to ensure residents receive first-class health and social care.
Rachel said:
“Whilst we’re seeing huge investment in the Alex and record amounts of funding for our NHS, I know health and social care services are facing challenges which is impacting the care my constituents receive.
“As an independent champion for patients, it’s always useful meeting with Simon to hear what residents are telling him and his team about local health and social care services.
“I’m determined to ensure my constituents receive the first-class health and social care they deserve, and my Long-Term Plan will deliver results.”
