Following the appointment of Glen Burley as Chief Executive and Stephen Collman as Managing Director of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, Rachel said:
“The Alex has been and always will be my top priority and I look forward to working with Glen and Stephen as I continue the fight to ensure my constituents receive the first-class healthcare they deserve.
“My Long-Term Plan for the Delivery of Health and Social Care sets out my vision for those first-class services, and a key part of that vision is the return of a maternity and children’s service to the Alexandra Hospital. As I said before the appointments of Glen and Stephen, I hope they will positively and genuinely engage with me on the need to return these services to our hospital.
“I believe the Alex has a bright future ahead of it. I want to see more investment in our hospital, building on the progress that’s been made since 2017 from brand-new multi-million-pound operating theatres to state-of-the-art robotic surgery, from a brand-new Breast Imaging Unit to the return of the Garden Suite.”
