Rachel has welcomed investment in sports facilities in Greenlands with the construction of a brand-new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) well underway.
The £140,000 MUGA is being constructed next to the South Redditch Social Club.
This investment in sports facilities in Greenlands, which is being delivered by the Conservative-led Redditch Borough Council, will mean more people can access sports facilities right by their homes.
Rachel said:
“Local sports facilities are vital to supporting the health and wellbeing of residents, and so I very much welcome this brand-new Multi-Use Games Area in Greenlands.
“This investment being delivered by the Conservative-led Borough Council follows other investments we’ve seen in parks across Redditch from Arrow Valley to Winyates – clear proof we’re delivering for everyone in our wonderful town."
With the construction of the Multi-Use Games Area well underway, Emma Marshall, Councillor for Greenlands, Wirehill and Woodrow, is delivering on a promise she made when she was first elected to bring a MUGA to Greenlands.
Cllr Marshall added:
“I am so pleased to have this investment into sporting facilities here in Greenlands.
“The football fields are hugely popular, and this addition will mean more sports activities can be carried out. It’s Conservatives who are investing in our neighbourhoods for the future.”
