“I remain proud Redditch is one of the e-scooter trial areas in the country and I’m pleased the e-scooter trial has been extended. This will enable us to better understand their usage as we emerge from the pandemic.
“The trial is providing evidence on the true impact of electric scooters, for example: how safe they are; how they are used; whether potential benefits can be realised; and on how to manage potential downsides. Robust and meaningful data is being gathered and a full set of findings will be included in a final report due later this year.
“It’s also great to see Redditch is the first town to receive the industry-leading Bird Three vehicles. This once again shows that our town is at the forefront of active travel.”
