To help unlock Redditch’s full potential, the town is set to benefit from £2.6 million in Government funding to equip residents with functional numeracy skills to improve their employment prospects.
Worcestershire County Council has been awarded £2,692,723 from the Government’s UK-wide Multiply programme which will support people with no or low-level maths skills get back into work.
The scheme will offer free tutoring, digital training and flexible courses, as well as measures to get more young people into high-skilled jobs.
This new funding will help to deliver on the Government’s commitment to level up communities and to reverse inequalities to ensure everyone can fulfil their potential.
It follows the recent announcement that Redditch Borough Council will receive £2.5 million from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
