In welcoming Conservative-led Redditch Borough Council’s successful bid to become an e-scooter trial area, Rachel Maclean, MP for Redditch, said:
“Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard on Redditch’s successful e-scooter trial area bid. Our town will become the only place in Worcestershire where you can hire an e-scooter as part of this trial. We are leading the way on Active Travel thanks to Redditch Borough Council’s ambitious leadership and their desire to build back greener from the impact of coronavirus. I for one can’t wait to have a go on one of these e-scooters!
“Safety is at the heart of this trial. These trials are designed to help us understand whether the devices reduce motor traffic, as well as their impacts on safety for their users and others.”
