Your Ideas Independent School “will break down barriers to learning” Rachel has said following a visit to the brand-new specialist school.
On Friday (May 10th), Rachel met with Headteacher Dr Clare Whalley and was taken on a tour of the brand-new specialist school in Matchborough which opened its doors to pupils last month.
The school provides a calm, nurturing environment and bespoke education to children who are experiencing barriers to learning. This includes social, emotional and mental health needs, autism spectrum conditions and those who have experienced developmental trauma.
During her visit, Rachel and Dr Whalley also discussed the £8.2 million in Government funding that was announced in March to create new places for young people with SEND and AP in mainstream and special schools in Worcestershire.
Rachel said: “I’ve long been a supporter of Your Ideas and it has been incredible to watch the growth of this not-for-profit organisation.
“For many years the hard-working team at Your Ideas have wanted to open a school and they should be incredible proud to have turned their vision into reality.
“Every child should have access to a first-class education, and Your Ideas School will break down barriers to learning and ensure their pupils can fulfil their full potential.”
