Redditch “packs a big punch on the world stage” Rachel has said following a visit to successful local business.
Earlier this month, Rachel visited lighting supplier, Unilite, and met with Director Alex Insley to discuss how the business is continuing to grow and expand.
Started in 1981 as a family run business, Unilite has grown into one of the world’s leading flashlight manufacturers in the global illumination market and has 3,000 worldwide clients.
Businesses like Unilite are continuing to power Redditch’s economy. Most recent data from the House of Commons Library found there were 3,765 VAT or PAYE registered enterprises in Redditch in 2023. That’s compared with 3,325 businesses in 2017 when Rachel was first elected.
Rachel said:
“Redditch is home to world-leading and successful businesses - and its always inspiring to visit them.
“Ever since I was first elected, I've shone a light on these businesses to demonstrate that our town certainly packs a big punch on the world stage.”
Alex Insley added:
“It was great to have Rachel visit and show her support for Unilite.
“Rachel is always on hand to assist, listen and aid our business to help continue our rapid worldwide expansion."
