Rachel has visited the first council houses to be built in Redditch in 29 years.
The first tenants have now started to move in to the 19 properties in Chalk Gardens in Church Hill.
Built for affordable rent by Redditch Borough Council, these brand-new homes, which includes three bungalows, six two-bedroom homes and ten three-bedroom homes, are the first to be built by the Borough Council since 1994.
Rachel said:
“Conservative-controlled Redditch Borough Council is delivering for local residents by building these brand-new homes for affordable rent.
“It’s part of our vision to make our town a great place to live, work and raise a family.
“They are high-quality properties and I hope families will be able to make happy memories in their new homes.”
