Rachel recently joined police officers on patrol in Redditch town centre.
It’s part of Rachel’s continued focus on ensuring crime is tackled effectively and our streets are kept safe.
Redditch’s MP joined PS Roberts and PC Moore on patrol in the town centre last Friday (May 10th) where they discussed issues facing officers and where Rachel repeated her commitment to doing everything she can to support officers.
During the patrol, they also discussed the dedicated town centre policing team for Redditch which is being funded by Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion.
Rachel said: “Our brave police officers put their lives on the line every day in order to keep us safe and I am forever grateful for their service.
“I want to thank PS Roberts and PC Moore for allowing me to join them on their town centre patrol. We had a frank conversation about the issues and challenges officers face and I have a number of action points to take back to the Policing Minister and our Police and Crime Commissioner.
“With police officer numbers in West Mercia at a record high and with Redditch getting a brand-new police station, I'm always keen to see what more I can do to support our police to keep our streets safe.”
