Following the announcement by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak that an election will be held on Thursday, July 4th, Rachel said:
"Now an election has been called, I look forward to campaigning to be re-elected as the Conservative MP for Redditch and the Villages.
I will be working hard over the next six weeks to once again earn your vote and your trust to continue serving you as your Conservative MP and I am grateful to the Redditch County Conservative Association for adopting me as their candidate.
I will be asking you for an opportunity to continue my strong record of delivery for local residents. We have seen huge investment in the Alexandra Hospital, secured the return of the Garden Suite Chemotherapy Unit and delivered a £15.6 million Town Deal to regenerate Redditch. I’ve been working flat out over the past seven years to deliver results for everyone across Redditch and the Villages.
Only by voting for a Conservative candidate can local residents across the constituency be guaranteed a strong voice in Parliament to stand up for controlling our borders, security at home and abroad, lower taxes and traditional Conservative values.
On Thursday, July 4th, I hope you will be able to place your trust in me once again and vote for a strong Conservative voice who will build on their record of delivery."
