Rachel has met with local businesses to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing employers.
As a champion of local businesses, Rachel held her latest roundtable discussion which gives employers the opportunity to raise concerns with their MP, as well to discuss the investments they’re making and the jobs they’re creating.
It comes as data from the House of Commons Library found there were 3,920 VAT or PAYE registered enterprises in Redditch in 2022. That’s compared with 3,325 businesses in 2017 when Rachel was first elected.
Rachel said:
“As someone who worked in business for three decades before becoming the local MP, I have always championed and supported our local businesses.
“Redditch is home to thousands of successful businesses, many of which are small and independent businesses – the backbone of our economy.
“I’ve visited many of these businesses and seen for myself the jobs they’ve created for local residents and how they’re supporting our economy.
“I will continue to back our local businesses and ensure they can continue to grow and flourish.”
