Rachel is urging residents to support local businesses this Small Business Saturday (December 2nd).
It takes place on the first Saturday in December each year and aims to highlight small business success and encourage residents to shop local and support small businesses in their communities.
Redditch’s economy is powered by small and independent businesses, which also create jobs for local people.
Most recent data from the House of Commons Library found there were 3,920 VAT or PAYE registered enterprises in Redditch in 2022. That’s compared with 3,325 businesses in 2017 when Rachel was first elected.
Rachel said:
“Small and independent businesses are the backbone of our economy, so I would urge residents to support them this Small Business Saturday.
“Ever since I’ve been the local MP, I’ve been supporting our businesses, not just through my #SupportLocal campaign, but by ensuring Government creates the conditions businesses need to grow and create jobs.”
