Rachel has been appointed to serve as Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party.
In her new role, Rachel will work with the Chairman of the Party, Richard Holden MP, and a team of Deputy and Vice Chairman, with Rachel being given responsibility for campaigning and women.
Ever since she was first elected, Rachel has championed policies which will improve the lives of women, from raising awareness of menopause to tackling violence against women and girls as Minister for Safeguarding and as Minister of State for Victims and Vulnerability.
This is the second time Rachel has served the Conservative Party in a national role. Between November 2022 and February 2023, Rachel served as Vice Chairman of the Conservative Party. Her role included responsibility for candidates.
Rachel said:
“Born into a left-wing family, I didn’t start out being a Conservative; it was only when I started my own business that I understood the Conservatives was the Party of hard work and aspiration.
“I'm thrilled to be leading the hard work making sure all our policies deliver for women.
“It will also be a pleasure and a privilege to ramp up the work I’m doing supporting fantastic women in our Party at every level, including candidates.”
