Rachel: We must liberate freeholders from the tyranny of the ground rent grazers

Today (March 26th), Rachel questioned the Housing Minister on leasehold and freehold reform.

Rachel said:

"We must not be swayed from our conservative agenda by a few vocal lobbyists with deep pockets. We must complete the leasehold reforms and reduce ground rent to a peppercorn.

"There is a lot of nonsense being talked about in this area. It is possible to ensure that building owners do the right thing re safety and cladding; and also liberate them from the tyranny of the ground rent grazers."
