PRESS RELEASE
Rachel Maclean, MP for Redditch County, enjoyed a sunny day in Hanbury on Saturday (1 July 2017), in the company of newly-elected Worcestershire County Councillor and borough councillor for Headless Cross & Oakenshaw, Tom Baker-Price.
Firstly, she enjoyed a three-mile walk with members of the Worcestershire Area Ramblers, starting at the National Trust’s Hanbury Hall. She also took along her dog Phoebe for the stroll.
Rachel said: “It was lovely to get out and about in such a beautiful part of the constituency to enjoy good company, take in the scenery and breathe in some fresh air.”
She also attended the Hanbury Countryside Show, which this year celebrated its 70th anniversary. The show is a traditional agricultural event which takes place on the first Saturday in July, with main arena events including dog displays and a historical vehicle rally. There was also a large horse show and an array of stalls to browse round.
“The Hanbury Countryside Show is a wonderful local event, this year being the biggest yet, providing an amazing day out for the whole family and supporting local producers, and I commend the show’s organiser for putting on such an event, right here in the constituency,” said Rachel.
“It was also a great chance for me to get out and meet some wonderful people and see some of the wide variety of stalls on hand.”
